Alta Sierra is located approximately 15 minutes from Grass Valley, and about 20 minutes to Auburn, California.  There are top rated schools in the neighborhood for the kids.   There is a very low crime rate, and a great community feel.  Alta Sierra has an 18 hole championship golf course and clubhouse that is available.   There's a great mix of affordable homes and luxurious homes - some that are located right on the golf course, and some have very impressive snow capped mountain views.
